Alive - Christian Student Organization

Alive is a student-led Christian student organization, open to all MCC students for the purpose of providing activities to enable its members to grow in their spiritual lives by “doing college life together”. Alive is a place for students to experience vibrant friendships that are authentic and meaningful. Possible activities include community serving on-campus and in the community, reflecting on the Bible and its application to our lives, attending events, retreats, concerts or a mission trip.

Alpha Pi Rho Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa - Honor Society

PTKThe Alpha Pi Rho chapter of PTK, the national honor society for two-year colleges, recognizes scholarship, leadership, and service. Students are invited to join and participate in PTK if they are:

  1. currently enrolled in classes
  2. matriculated* in a certificate or degree program
  3. have completed at least 12 credits at MCC prior to the current semester
  4. have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher prior to the current semester

* Matriculated student: a person who has applied for admission to the college and has been accepted into a specific degree, certificate or professional certificate program (a letter of acceptance from the Admissions Office is sent when a student becomes accepted).

Art Club

This club is open to all students and alumni of MCC. It provides open studio time for anyone interested in fine arts, graphic design and interior design. In addition, club members plan and participate in activities such as trips to art museums and art related workshops.

Beta Beta Beta

Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta) is an honor society for students dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. Any students who have an interest in the life sciences may join as associate members. Associate members may be promoted when they meet national honors requirements. MCC’s club will collaborate with the University of New Hampshire at Manchester to engage in fun life science related events.

Campus Activities Board (CAB)The Campus Activities Board is a committee of Manchester Community College students dedicated to bringing students together by planning, organizing, and executing events for the MCC community. Recent past event highlights included: Lunchtime Lounge featuring various performers, Comedy Nights, MCC Got Talent, bus trips to Boston Celtics, and Stress Busters.

What We Do

  • We reach out to the entire MCC community by providing programming that is inclusive and responsive to what students want.
  • We serve the MCC community with an unprecedented level of moral, pride, energy, and exhibit comprehensive programs of social, recreational, cultural, and educational events.
  • We provide events that foster community with the MCC student population.

Creative Writing Club

The Creative Writing Club welcomes all students interested in reading, writing, or celebrating fiction, poetry, screen and play writing, journalism, nonfiction, and all ranges of experimental forms. We welcome writers, readers, and editors. The club focuses on encouraging members’ creative endeavors, experiencing our favorite writing from published authors, and inviting the college community to participate. The Creative Writing Club also edits and publishes MCC’s literary magazine, The Queen City Review, featuring photography, artwork, and writing from students and faculty. Cultural Exchange Club

The Cultural Exchange Club’s purpose is to enhance the experience of students from various ethnic, cultural and national backgrounds by establishing an organization through which they become involved at MCC while developing networking relationships. The Cultural Exchange Club will offer support through mentoring, academic help and guidance and event organizing.

Dramatic Flair

Are you interested in theater? Have you ever wanted to perform on stage or learn the behind the scenes aspects of a live performance? Whether or not you have past experience with drama you are welcome to join this club.

Dungeons and Dragons Club

The D&D Club seeks to bring together all MCC students with an interest in playing the classic fantasy role-playing game. All are welcome—take on the role of a main character, recurring side character, or one-time guest star. No prior experience needed!

Early Childhood Education Club

The purpose of this club is to enhance the learning opportunities and hands on experiences related to the field of teaching. The club provides opportunities for volunteering with children and youth, educating others in topics related to family, school and youth issues; and exposure to professionals in the field through conference/workshop participation.

Gaming Club

This club’s activities promote social interaction and friendship between students through student organized gaming. All types of gaming is welcome and is based on student interest. Game Nights are held weekly.

Give Kids the World Service Team

Give Kids the World Service Team raises awareness of the mission of the Give Kids The World organization, which supports families of children with life threatening or chronic illnesses. The GKTW team travels to Orlando Florida each year to volunteer at the Give Kids the World Village. GKTW Village works hand-in-hand with the Make-A-Wish Foundation when children’s wishes include a trip to Central Florida.

Health Fitness Professional Club

Exercise Science Club

Open to all students with an interest in health and fitness. This club will strive to provide the MCC an surrounding community with events and activities to increase their awareness of health and fitness related issues. Finally, the club will provide the students with skills and knowledge to improve their own health and fitness while creating a strong community of health fitness enthusiasts on campus.

Helping Hands Service Club

Helping Hands is a group of students committed to making a difference in the MCC community, and beyond. They do so by sponsoring events such as a children’s Halloween Party, and the Giving Tree collecting toys/gifts for children, partnering with other clubs’ service projects, volunteering in the community, and by raising funds for various causes. This group has a heart for serving others, and is selfless in their efforts. Open to all students.

Kappa Beta Delta - Business Honor Society

The purpose of this society is to encourage and recognize scholarship and accomplishments among business students. It also promotes aspirations toward personal and professional improvement. Annual membership is by invitation to those business students who are academically ranked in the top 20% of their class and achieved the standards of the society.

MCC Mathematics Club

The objective of this club is to explore the exciting world of mathematics. This club will listen to guest speakers, do math exercises and go on math related trips. Open to all students, but students must attend two meetings before being recognized as a club member.

MCC Pride MCC Pride is a group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning Students, and their Allies. LGBTQIA students meet on campus and also meet with other LGBTQIA groups from surrounding colleges to offer support, events, lectures, and dances.

NSNAThis group plans a wide range of events and activities that deal with the field of healthcare and nursing. Members are involved in community service, health education and conference participation.

MCC VeteransMCC Vets mission is to establish a veteran friendly environment at MCC as well as to promote MCC to veterans who are looking to further their education. MCC Veterans Center

The MCC Veterans Center, located in Room 264, provides a safe environment on campus for all MCC students who are current or former military members, their spouses, and their dependents to study, relax, refresh, and socialize. Be sure to stop by!

Medical Assistant Club

This club focuses on the field of medical assisting, including career awareness, and peer support. Community service has been a strong part of this organization.

Medical Mission Team

This group is involved with topics of global health needs both abroad and in our community. The team coordinates a medical mission trip each year; having volunteered in the banana plantations of Dominican Republic with Outreach 360. This has included setting up and assisting with clinics, as well as providing health education. This January a medical mission trip is planned to Ecuador with Timmy Global Health.

Phi Beta Lambda

FBLAPBL provides the opportunity to be a part of innovative leadership both on and off campus. We bring business and education together in a positive relationship by hosting fund raisers, partaking in community service projects, working hand-in-hand with other clubs, attending regional and national competitions, and offering scholarships. PBL is a nationally recognized organization at colleges as well as in the workplace.

Pine Ridge Service Team

Our team volunteers with Re-Member, a service organization on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. It is an emotional and life-chaning week where you will witness the extreme poverty afflicting the Lakota People and learn of their rich culture. Our teamw will take on service projects such as building bunk beds, repairing leaking roofs and/or skirting trailers. This trip is a balance of serving and cultural experiences.

Robotics Team

This student organization provides students with the opportunity to participate in Competitive Robotics at the university level. Members develop critical thinking, problem solving, communication, teamwork and leadership skills. The plan is for one or more teams to compete in VEX-U competitions, as well as be involved in sponsoring a state competition at MCC. No experience necessary!

This club allows students to participate in SkillsUSA competitions to test their technical skills against their peers and industry standards. Students develop leadership skills through campus activities, conference participation and community service.

Students for Environmental Action is open to all students who have an interest in environmental issues. This club raises awareness through speakers, films, presentations, and education. They sponsor Earth Day activities in the spring.
