Placement & Testing

Alternative / Proctored Testing

Faculty members can request alternative / proctored testing for any student who missed an exam. See the Request for Alternative Testing for details.

English and Math Placement

Any student admitted into a program at Manchester Community College will be required to provide information to be accurately placed into coursework for reading, writing and mathematics prior to registering for classes. Students who are not applying to a program are still encouraged to provide information to meet course prerequisites to maximize the opportunity for success.

MCC is placing students by utilizing multiple measures of assessment. We will review your high school transcript, SAT scores or Hi-Set scores to place you in relevant math and English coursework. If your transcripts or scores are greater than five years old, please contact the advising team for placement. You can reach the advising team at This email address is being protected from spambots.
