Manchester Community College Moves to First Place In National Rankings.
The Center for Digital Education awarded Manchester Community College first-place in the “small college/under 5,000 students category” for MCC’s advanced use of technology – specifically highlighting virtual reality crime scenes with 360-degree cameras used in Cybersecurity classrooms, simulation labs used in the Nursing department and the new Advanced Technologies building for its HVAC, Electrical Technology and Mechatronics curriculum. The new building has exposed infrastructure to help students understand and work with the newest technology, and 14 different specialty labs with the latest automation technology.
Now in its 13th year, the Digital Community Colleges Survey analyzes how community colleges use a range of technologies to improve services to students, faculty, staff and the community at large. The non-profit group ranked MCC 4th on the nation’s list of best “Digital Community Colleges” of its size last year, 5th place in 2016 and 9th in 2015.
