More than 150 college and community leaders gathered at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord to honor college students, faculty members and community partners who devote their time and expertise to meeting critical community needs.

The awards ceremony was sponsored by Campus Compact for New Hampshire (CCNH), a statewide consortium of college and university presidents dedicated to advancing the civic purposes of higher education.

Manchester Community College President Susan Huard awarded the Presidents' Leadership Award to MCC student Jeremy Clague for his outstanding contribution to campus service, service-learning and civic engagement efforts. Clague, who is graduating in May with an Associate degree in behavioral science, is president of the MCC Veteran’s Club and served on the CCSNH Board of Directors.

MCC Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics Professor Dan LaRochelle received the Good Steward Award, which recognizes faculty who contribute professional expertise in service to the wider community. LaRochelle has engaged the greater Manchester community in VEX Robotics competitions to inspire the next generation to be involved in robotics and STEM.

The MCC Community Partner Award went to Jim Eddinger of the NH Senior Games, for his partnership with the MCC Exercise Science program and bringing Pickleball to campus for fun, exercise and student fundraising.
