Few Spots Left in August Girls Career Camp
After the success of last year's career camps for Middle School students, Manchester Community College will again offer three summer camps the weeks of July 21st, July 29th and August 4th at MCC, 1066 Front Street in Manchester. Due to support from generous sponsors, each week is only $59 per camper and includes a daily lunch.
The first two camps – co-ed Advanced Manufacturing camps – are sold out, but there is still time to enroll your daughter in Girls Career Camp Monday through Thursday August 4-7, from 8:45am to 2:30pm. Girls going into sixth, seventh or eighth grades will get hands-on experience with HVAC, automotive, computer-aided drafting and 3-D printing skills. Participants will learn how to change a tire and put fluids in a car, as well as take a computer apart and put it back together!
Thanks to support from lead sponsors Velcro and Women's Fund of New Hampshire, cost for the Girls Career Camp is only $59 per week. Other sponsors include: Anagnost Companies; Dyn; Educational STEM Solutions, LLC; Fireye; Grace Capital Church; In-Laws Construction, LLC; Kluber Lubrication; Parker Aerospace; Sully's; St. Mary's Bank; Warner Power; and, WH Bagshaw. The July 21st week of camp is also sponsored by Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT), the Foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Intl.
