LSSC299M Social Science Capstone 3-0-3 Taken in a student’s final semester of study, the Social Science Capstone provides students with an opportunity to synthesize the knowledge gained in their previous coursework. Students develop and personalize an individual research topic/project based on an area of interest. The individualized project will require students to demonstrate proficiency in research, critical thinking, and communication as well as an awareness of global perspectives. Students will be expected to consult with faculty in their area of interest in an advisory capacity. Prerequisite: Completion of a minimum of 48 credits including ENGL110M, POLS110M, POLS210M, GEOG110M, and HIST203M or HIST215M or SOCI250M, with a grade of “C” or better.
