SOCI250M - Multiculturalism (3-0-3)

This course is designed to introduce students to racial, ethnic, and other differences in people that may influence their norms, values, perceptions, and behaviors. Historical connections, as well as current issues related to race, ethnicities, and other minority groups are explored. Discussion increases awareness and understanding of other races, ethnicities, and different minority groups fostering tolerance and cooperation between the participants and the diverse populations of their home/school/work communities.

Prerequisite: SOCI110M and ENGL110M with a grade of “C” or better. (Fulfills Social Science requirement)
