New MCC Advanced Technologies Building

Generally speaking, newer is better. A new car, a new suit…perhaps a new career? What better place to start a pathway to a whole new job than at a brand-new facility?

In January 2018, Manchester Community College opened its new state-of-the-art building to train the next generation of skilled workers in Electrical Technology and HVAC careers, as well as Mechatronics.

This structure is a living, breathing classroom with exposed infrastructure to help students understand how to navigate projects with ease and work with the newest technology. (There's that word "new" again!)

Train for your new career at MCC’s NEW Advanced Technologies Building!

Advanced Technologies Building

The Advanced Technologies Building is a 21,000-square foot facility which features the latest in 21st century technology. Inside, students have access to 14 different specialty labs to help them learn the ins and outs of commercial air handlers, chillers and boilers, as well as the latest automation technology, which has taken over HVAC sites nationwide.

For those interested in Electrical-Tech careers, there are programmable logic control (PLC) labs, motor control labs, residential and commercial wiring labs that simulate real-world systems.

Students enrolled in Mechatronics, which combines the study of mechanical and electrical systems with software programming, will also utilize many of these labs (particularly for Siemen's Mechatronics certificates Level 1 and 2 to be offered at MCC in the Fall 2018.)

From the basics of the business to the most advanced technologies on the market, this new building will launch many careers. Business leaders helped design the blueprints and provided input to the class offerings. Thanks to their input, we have relevant programs for those just out of high school, as well as mid-career professionals.

Graduates of these programs are in such high demand, that MCC boasts a 100% hiring rate for HVAC and Electrical Technology grads. It's all NEW and it’s all here… see for yourself at our next Open House!
