MCC offers many types of information sessions. General information sessions cover anything and everything about MCC, while the program-specific information sessions cover topics and information related to those specific programs.

Virtual Nursing Sessions

Prospective Nursing program applicants are invited to join us remotely via Zoom to learn more about the process of applying to our Nursing program. Information regarding pre-reqs, academic requirements, the RN pre-entrance exam (TEAS) and competitive ranking, and transfer credit process is discussed in detail. Please note that attendance at a Nursing Information Session is a requirement for all MCC nursing program applicants. Hosted by Jacqueline Poirier, College Counselor for Allied Health Programs.

The last Information Session for entry into Nursing for Fall 2021 was January 22, 2021. Currently posted Nursing Information Session dates are for entry into Nursing for Fall 2022.

Associate Degree in Nursing (RN) Program
Nursing courses and clinical components must be completed concurrently. Students graduate with an Associate Degree of Science in Nursing (ASN) and are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN Exam. Students may continue on to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at various four-year nursing programs.

LPN to RN Option
LPN to RN option for currently licensed LPNs only who want to advance their education and graduate with an Associate Degree of Science in Nursing. Please note that MCC does not offer the LPN program.

Pathway for NH's Future Nurses Option (FPU)
A partnership between MCC, Franklin Pierce University (FPU) and Elliot Health Systems; students enroll in courses that meet the requirements of both colleges during their first 3 years at MCC, receive their ASN from MCC and are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN Exam. Students then complete their Bachelor degree in Nursing through FPU online courses during the fourth year. Students must be able to complete full time coursework including summers. Medical Assistant Program Sessions

Envision yourself working in healthcare? For over 20 years we have been helping our students succeed in the rewarding and growing field of Medical Assisting. Join us to learn more information regarding the curriculum and clinical requirements of our accredited program. Pre-registration is not required however, please make arrangements to log in a few minutes early as late arrivals may not be accommodated.

Medical Coding Information Sessions

Are you interested in a rapidly growing career within the health care field? Medical Coders work behind the scenes translating medical diagnosis and procedures into codes. The "why" an individual went to the doctor and the "what" the doctor did is turned into numbers that a computer reads. These codes communicate a medical story to healthcare providers and payers throughout the continuum of care. Join Erin O'Toole, MCC's Medical Coding Program Director, to learn how our Medical Coding certificate program can jumpstart your career in the health information industry.

Health Fitness Professional Information Sessions

There's nothing like being at the top of your game and helping others get to theirs! During this time more and more people are seeing the value of health and wellness. We anticipate that post COVID, the health fitness industry will be in need of qualified professionals. Join us at this information session to explore how you can start building your career by gaining the knowledge and experience to help optimize the fitness and well being of others.
