HLIM208M - Pharmacology for Health Professions (3-0-3)

This course focuses on the science of pharmacology for non-clinical healthcare professionals. An emphasis is placed on the general principles of pharmacology, the bodily systems affected by the various drug types and their classifications. Students will also explore common prescribing in various practice settings as well as the applicable U.S. laws relative to the sale, supply and administration of drugs.

Prerequisites: AHLT110M and BIOL106M or BIOL110M with a grade of with a grade of “C” or better.
